JMR FOLIA Jubilee is very lively and playful, it knows how to handle colors and timbres with surprising ease for a loudspeaker of its category. Its high midrange is luminous and silky, both precise and very carnal. Its bass is amazing given its volume and we feel neither frustration nor lack in this register.

Its loading principle allows to use almost no absorbent, so the last octaves are of a beautiful readability and there is no feeling of constriction or even buzzing often present when using a small volume.

Studied so that it can also be hung on the wall or leaned against it, we can thus give even more substance and energy to the low register. The vents positioned laterally and mirrored, diffuse a complementary and very homogeneous sound field in the low-mid bass register, the presence of the wall behind them will not disturb the readability in this portion of the spectrum.

The stereophonic image is stable and precise and opens up wide even beyond the speakers, a sign of the rigorous phasing of all the components.

The latest optimizations made to this Jubilee version have enabled us to further improve the performance of this very endearing little speaker. Thus the use of an aluminum basket, more rigid than the ABS one, allowed us to improve the impulse response and therefore the dynamics. The phase piece on its tweeter improves its directivity and linearity. The large felt on its front face diffracts the first reflections on the cabinetwork and improves the quality of the sound image.

We took the opportunity to modernize its aesthetics and give it a more upscale character thanks to the rounded fields of its front face as well as the large diameter rounding of its rear horizontal edges. Finally, it is now available in two finishes: satin black and a very beautiful three-coat pearl white lacquer.

JMR FOLIA JUBILEE should delight lovers of live music looking for a sound without artifice or caricature with refined timbres. It will provide hours of listening without fatigue or weariness and in all respects faithful to the sound philosophy of Jean Marie Reynaud products.

ACOUSTIC SPEAKER :
System with double asymmetrical coupled and tuned cavities leading to a side vent positioned as a mirror for the pair. This load allows use near or against a wall. Asymmetrical load volume limiting parallel surfaces in the cabinetwork and allowing only a strict minimum of absorbent to be used, thus preserving the naturalness and transparency of the system. Tweeter in the center of the baffle for an even dispersion of the signal in the vertical and horizontal planes. The addition of a large felt surrounding the loudspeakers makes it possible to diffract the first reflections of the signal around the loudspeakers, thus significantly improving the behavior of the phase outside the axis. Meditate 19mm. Rounded front edges avoiding edge effects.

WOOFERS/MEDIUM:
130 mm, Aluminum basket, flat and ventilated spider, ventilated double magnet, paper hypergraph cone, anti-swirl warhead, suspension with high recoil power and high damping providing powerful and fast bass.
25 mm voice coil on kapton support.

TWEETERS:
25mm silk dome ensuring a very linear and colorless response. Double neodymium magnet, non-ferro-fluid air gap made possible thanks to a tuned double rear chamber ensuring a low resonant frequency and perfect transient damping. Adoption of a "half-moon" phase piece with waveguide improving the horizontal directivity of the tweeter as well as its linearity in the axis.

FILTER:
12 and 18 dB/octave.
Cut-off frequencies: 3200 Hz.
Large diameter pure copper chokes with very low ohmic resistance. Wiring "in the air" without printed circuit using a specific copper silver cable.

USING ADVICE :
Thanks to a very slight directivity, it is not necessary to converge the two loudspeakers towards the ideal listening point, pinch them very slightly in order to make the most of the phase of the system.
The insert on the rear side allows you to hang FOLIAJUBILE on the wall, a height of about 50 cm under the speaker is recommended, but it can be higher if you want to listen to it standing up.
The spacing will be determined experimentally. In theory, it is ideal around 2 m from axis to axis, but this distance can be reduced or increased. The mirrored side vents must be positioned inwards for a spacing of 1.5 m and more, they will be directed outwards for a spacing of less than 1.5 m.
