TAS 1500 moving coil pickup with boron needle carrier and microlinear needle grinding

The THORENS TAS 1500 is an MC pickup manufactured for THORENS in Japan. The aim of the development was the optimal combination of the pickup in conjunction with the TD 1500 and TD 403 DD drive and the precision tonearm TP 150. With an output voltage of 0.4mV (5.5cm/sec) and 12 ohm internal resistance, the pickup harmonizes with all of them common phono preamplifiers. A naked diamond with a microlinear cut in combination with a solid needle carrier made of boron guarantees the best scanning ability and sound quality.
