SCM12 Pro Passive Studio Monitor

The SCM12 Pro is an extremely powerful, passive 2-way monitor that scores with compact dimensions and is recommended for near-field and multi-channel use as well as for post-production applications.
The tweeter consists of a 25 mm (1") fabric dome, which was developed on the basis of ATC's unique dual suspension technology. In contrast to conventional tweeters, these precision components have double suspensions, which ensure improved control over the voice coil and the cone movement, especially at higher levels. The result is an extended high-frequency response with significantly improved transparency and definition, resulting from a reduction in annoying harmonic distortion. Hearing fatigue is significantly reduced and users can work with greater accuracy over longer periods of time.
Low frequencies are delivered via ATC's proprietary 150 mm (6") diameter CLD bass-midrange driver with associated 45 mm (1.75") voice coil. This driver offers outstanding dynamics with minimal compression. The design ensures a round, balanced frequency response on and off the listening axis, while the minimized playback distortions ensure a more realistic reproduction of the source signals. This enables professional users to better assess the audio material, make decisions faster and more confidently, and also work tirelessly over a longer period of time.
The monitor is equipped with a bi-wiring connection block and thus allows separate amplification of the low-mid and high-frequency ranges if required.
