LUMIN T3X Network Player Elevates Performance with Flagship Technology
LUMIN T3X enhances the T-series platform by integrating even more advanced technology from LUMIN's flagship models, offering "better value than ever." The new T3X network player builds upon the award-winning T3 streaming DAC platform, incorporating cutting-edge advancements for superior performance.
A key upgrade is the built-in ultra-low-noise linear power supply, featuring an "extra-large" toroidal transformer designed to deliver an expansive dynamic range. This power supply is fully shielded to minimize interference with sensitive circuitry. Additionally, LUMIN’s latest processing system enhances sampling capabilities, increases storage capacity, and boosts overall processing power.
The fully balanced architecture of the T3X is further refined with a state-of-the-art ESS9028PRO DAC in dual-mono configuration, ensuring exceptional audio fidelity.
Connectivity is equally impressive. The T3X features an S/PDIF output via BNC and an optical SFP (1000Base-T gigabit) socket, which can operate simultaneously with the Ethernet port, thanks to the Dual-Network interface with a built-in network switch. This setup allows seamless integration with a router, NAS drive, or LUMIN L1/L2. Two USB ports provide additional flexibility for digital audio and storage.
Supporting upsampling and downsampling to every format up to DSD256/PCM384, the T3X handles PCM from 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz at 16- and 32-bit depths, as well as native DSD512 via USB. The BNC output supports PCM from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz at 16- to 24-bit resolution, with DSD compatibility via DoP.
Streaming service support is extensive, including Spotify Connect, MQA, TIDAL, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, and TuneIn. The T3X is also Roon Ready, AirPlay-compatible, and supports Audirvana.
On the rear panel, users will find balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, leveraging an analog buffer derived from LUMIN's X1. A gold-plated binding post ensures a reliable grounding connection.
The T3X incorporates LUMIN's lossless Leedh Processing Volume Control and is fully compatible with the LUMIN music management app, available for iOS and Android.
Now available, the LUMIN T3X is crafted from premium high-grade aluminum, precision-milled for durability, and offered in silver or black anodized finishes. RRP: €5,490.

The new LUIMN T3x player is at the same time a very versatile device. Played right after PAOLO FRESU's Noon with the track ˻ 2 ˺ Autumn Leaves (Take One), from a perfect recording, sounded equally cool, equally energetic. The bass was also low and powerful here, but - this is important to know - less saturated than in the T3. Instead, it was better defined in terms of timing.Therefore, the company's new player seems to fit better and easier in more audio systems than the T3. Especially since it does not have to be “tailored” for this type of sound, as the device is nicely tonally balanced. All you need is a system with well-arranged priorities, the kind we want, and the T3x will bring energy and vitality to it, but also dense timbres, saturated sound and a touch of warmth.
