It shares Hegel’s advanced streaming platform and control app with our flagship H400 and H600, while also adding a refined MM phono stage and, for the first time in a Hegel amplifier, a USB Drive input for direct playback from solid-state or hard drives. Most importantly, it delivers performance that exceeds expectations—power, scale, and musicality that continues to impress even us.

Nicknamed the Prodigy, the H150 offers performance and versatility far beyond what’s typical at its level. Inspired by Hegel’s reference models, it combines powerful amplification with extensive connectivity, becoming a genuine all-in-one solution for modern music lovers. Compact yet confident, it integrates easily into any space and drives almost any loudspeaker with authority.

Design & Build

Sleek, understated, and available in black or white, the H150’s design complements any interior. At just 35 cm deep, it fits comfortably on shelves and media units, while its robust build—precision-milled aluminium front, steel chassis with ventilation, and clear OLED display—ensures durability and style.

Amplifier Performance

Don’t let its 2 × 75 W rating mislead you. The H150 employs Hegel’s proprietary class AB design with SoundEngine 2 technology, delivering a damping factor of 2000 and rock-solid stability down to 2 ohms. Backed by a massive toroidal transformer and high-speed capacitors, it offers speed, control, and dynamic punch—bringing music to life with clarity and realism.

Custom DAC

Borrowing from our acclaimed Viking CD player, the built-in DAC is a four-layer custom design that reveals extraordinary detail from both digital sources and the integrated streaming platform.

Streaming, Simplified

Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast™, Apple AirPlay, and UPnP are all built in—ready right out of the box. Automatic updates ensure the H150 stays compatible with new services, keeping you ahead of the curve.

Digital & Analog Connectivity

The H150 accommodates virtually every source: optical, coaxial, USB-B, USB-A, and network inputs, plus a coaxial digital output for active speakers or DAC loop configurations. Analog fans are equally well served with RCA, balanced XLR, and a high-quality MM phono input that rivals dedicated preamps. Add headphones, subwoofers, or external amps with ease.

Everyday Ease of Use

The H150 is designed for intuitive use. Auto-sensing inputs wake and select the correct source automatically, while auto-standby conserves energy. Popular TV remote codes are pre-loaded, and multi-room playback works via AirPlay, Google Cast, or Roon. Control comes from the supplied aluminium remote, voice assistants, or the Hegel Control app—with full input management, internet radio, and podcasts at your fingertips.
