The Artera Solus plays out its sound quality regardless of the selected source - all signals left to it lead to an above-average result. The quad receiver plays consistently voluminous and rich in detail, which already has a positive effect on CD playback. With "Turn Off The Light" by Nelly Furtado he gets a pretty tough nut to crack, which is supposed to really challenge him with lots of synth effects and the relatively high voice of the Canadian - but the Solus seems to remain completely unimpressed. The bass is powerful and voluminous, there is wonderful balance in the mid-frequency range and it presents an agile and detailed reproduction profile in the highs.
